Amirah Tajdin
Amirah is a Kenyan artist and filmmaker. A filmmaker for over 10 years, she has created her own style, mixing reality and fiction with her strong visual language and cinematography. She uses her writing and talent to create content for brands and artists in multiple formats. Her film "Sisterhood Action Girls Who Code" was a finalist for the 2019 Tribeca x Award. She is a Sundance Institute Fellow, making her the first Kenyan director to be selected for both Screenwriters Labs and Director's Lab (Utah 2017 & 2018) for her feature film currently in development. Her short film "Marea di Tierra" was in competition at Sundance (2016), Cannes Directors' Fortnight (2015) and has been selected in over twenty festivals worldwide.
